Traditionally, the approach would be to first hire an Architect, and then an Electrical Engineer. Next step would be to put the entire project out to bid to a General Contractor. Then that GC takes at least 3 bids for each specialty, and the cheapest guys win for each piece of the work. Then come the change orders from each of these groups. You end up with a significantly higher cost because you’ve got the Electrical Engineer who is over designed, then you have the GC’s mark-up on the overall job, the mark-up from all the individual specialty contractors, and mark-ups on the change orders for all of the other trades.
The Advantage Process is simple. You or your Architect design the job. Next step is when Advantage comes in and Engineers the entire project. Our design is complete to code, using top quality materials, BUT we do not “over engineer”. We will build your project for a set, fixed price. There will be no change orders because it is our design. The result is a savings to you of 30% – 40% over the traditional process.
